LAS VEGAS, NV / ACCESSWIRE / March 25, 2021 / Leading software-as-a-service (SaaS) email security company Trustifi announced that it has appointed long-time IT industry executive Peter Eastman as its new Chief Revenue Officer. In this position, Eastman will build Trustifi’s global brand, working to expand the company’s customer base, industry presence, and revenues through strategic sales initiatives. Eastman, who began his tenure in January, aims to leverage decades of marketing and sales acumen to establish Trustifi as a major force in cyber security.
In his 20 years in the high-tech sector, Eastman has delivered sustained profit gains for major companies in the IT channel. He recently spent more than a decade at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where he led dynamic sales teams focused on the SMB and enterprise markets, SLED (state, local, and education-based government agency) sales, and commercial storage solutions. He has worked with a range of IT services organizations including Avaya, Cisco, and Siemens; in addition to a number of wireless networking and security manufacturers. In addition, Peter brings significant manufacturer-based sales experience to Trustifi, which he will leverage to enhance the company’s OEM alliances. Peter holds a BA from the University of California, Los Angeles.
The current breaches at IT powerhouses such as Microsoft and SolarWinds has given new credence to the necessity of cyber security, especially when it comes to protecting email data, a major target of cyberattacks such as phishing and ransomware. In fact, research shows that BEC (business email compromise) has been at fault for up to half the nation’s cybercrime losses. These numbers are only climbing since the market has shifted to dispersed, hybrid work environments, which are traditionally more challenging to secure than centralized, on-premises networks.
