As Chief Information Security Officer at Trustifi, Mark Liapustin leads the company’s global cybersecurity strategy with a specialized focus on email threat prevention, detection, and response. In addition to overseeing Trustifi’s comprehensive security governance and compliance programs, Mark serves as the head of the company’s Email Managed Detection and Response (EMDR) team — a 24/7 expert task force responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to real-time email-based threats across client environments.

Mark is solely responsible for the architecture, development, and evolution of Trustifi’s inbound email protection services, including core capabilities like anti-phishing, spam filtering, graymail control, AI-based solutions, impersonation detection, and advanced spoofing prevention. His leadership ensures that Trustifi’s inbound defense solutions not only block malicious content, but adapt intelligently to emerging threats using machine learning, behavioral analysis, and contextual awareness.

In collaboration with his EMDR team, Mark also spearheads the development of custom Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) and threat signatures specifically tailored for email-based attack patterns. These signatures are continuously refined and deployed across Trustifi’s ecosystem, enhancing real-time detection and minimizing the risk of breach across diverse client industries.

With a background rooted in ethical hacking, vulnerability research, and advanced threat hunting, Mark has a deep technical foundation that directly informs his strategic decisions. He has helped scale Trustifi’s solutions that simplifies deployment while delivering enterprise-grade security. His vision empowers organizations to move beyond fragmented security architectures and adopt a holistic model built for today's digital communication challenges.
