Disconnecting

Introduction

Disconnecting from Trustifi’s inbound relay protection is a quick and easy process, yet it should be done correctly to avoid complications with inbound mail flow.

This short guide will explain how to perform this process using step-by-step instructions.

Note: Once the inbound relay is disconnected, your emails will no longer be automatically scanned for threats and spam by Trustifi, but you can still scan emails manually using the Trustifi Chrome extension.

Step 1 – Disabling the Google routing rule

Navigate and log into the Google admin console using your admin credentials.

After you have logged in, navigate to the “Compliance” section and scroll down to “Content compliance”.

Find the Trustifi inbound routing rule and click to disable it.

Step 2 – Verifying the routing rule was disabled

Make sure the routing rule has been disabled by checking the status is set to “Disabled“.

Step 3 – Disabling the Inbound Relay integration in the Trustifi portal

You will need to log into the Trustifi web portal using your admin credentials.

Once logged in, navigate to “Inbound Management” > “Plan Settings” > “Email Relay Integration” tab. Then, find the toggle next to the “Enable” section and click on it to disable the integration.
