Testing

Test 1 – Sending an external email

Preconditions:Outbound email relay integration has been performed (view guide here)

Test description:

Open a mailbox which is connected to the outbound email relay and send a test email to a recipient mailbox which is outside of the organization (e.g. any Gmail mailbox).

Expected results:

The intended recipient will receive the email as usual to their inbox, without significant delay and the email will not be sent to junk/spam.

The sender can view the “My emails” page in the Trustifi web portal to view full tracking information for the sent email.

Test 2 – Sending an internal email

Preconditions:Outbound email relay integration has been performed (view guide here)

Test description:

Open a mailbox which is connected to the outbound email relay and send a test email to a recipient mailbox which is inside the organization.

Expected results:

The intended recipient will receive the email as usual to their inbox, without significant delay or duplicates, and the email will not be sent to junk/spam.

This email will not appear on the “My emails” page in the Trustifi web portal, since internal emails will be sent directly and not using the Trustifi connector.

Test 3 – send email to internal and external recipients

Preconditions:Outbound email relay integration has been performed (view guide here)

Test description:

Open a mailbox which is connected to the outbound email relay and send a test email to at least 2 recipient mailboxes: one inside the organization, and one outside of it.

Expected results:

All intended recipients will receive the email as usual to their inbox, without significant delay or duplicates and the email will not be sent to junk/spam.

The sender can view the “My emails” page in the Trustifi web portal to view full tracking information for the external recipients of the sent email.
